Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of a mixed-race family from South London in England. Her father is Nigerian Swiss as is her mom who's English. Her family was raised on a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age fourteen. She earned her BA in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She was a part of various stage productions during her college days, such as the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe launched her acting career through the film Storm Damage. She has since made appearances on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe scored her first motion-picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. After the film's success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha in The BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured on six of the episodes Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi as the main character on ITV2's comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe played the lead role on How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy released in 2008. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was eventually removed from the air. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular in the ABC drama series Revenge during two seasons. The show was announced in May 2013 that she was set to quit the show after completing a guest episode in the first episode of season three. From 2014 to the year 2016, she appeared on Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe and her partner for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. They've worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also had a role alongside her in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into a big family. She was the daughter of Roy and Patty Leggat. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. All of her brothers were athletic and played baseball and hockey during the winter and summer months. She grew up in baseball and arenas. Ashley could never walk, however she did dance. As she was two and a half, she started Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley discovered a love for dancing when she began Baby Ballet. After graduating from the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in ballet, tap, jazz pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. She won the top soloist awards at all of the major dance competitions including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
