Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born into an ethnically mixed family. Her father and mother have both been English. Her family was raised in an estate in South London council estate and at the age of 14, attended The Brit School. She studied acting in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. At school, she was a part-time actor in several stage productions, such as King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career with a film titled Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the following year, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. Also, the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl was her first appearance in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe made an appearance in the 2008 comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her credits in the theatre include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her US debut in the 2009 drama series The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes for The CW before being cancelled. She was cast in February 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series of Revenge on ABC during two seasons. The show was announced in May 2013 that she was set to leave the series after making an appearance in the first season of the third. From 2014 to the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. The two have collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg is also a part of the cast on the TV show Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for the Gemini Award, is a member of the large Hamilton family. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty as well her older siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. Ashley's brothers were athletic and played baseball during summers and hockey during winters. Ashley was unable to walk, but danced. As a result, when she turned 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's love for dancing. When she was in high school, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of ballet, tap, jazz and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. All of the major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the distinction of "top individualist".
